The Kaikeya Kingdom and Kaikeyi's Central Asian Connection: Insights from the Ramayana

Kaikeya kingdom was very vast during the period of Ramayana and it's very clearly written in Valmiki Ramayan, that the palace of Ashwapati was somewhere beyond Bahlika (Balkha of Afghanistan). The messengers who went to bring Bharat back to Ayodhya crossed a mountain Sudama entering Balkh and then entering in Girivraj, capital of Kaikeya Kingdom at night to meet Bharat. So, somewhere in Balkh or beyond existed palace of Ashwapati (father of Kaikeyi). So not necessarily a Ukrainian but maybe a princess of Balkha or a place somewhere in Central Asia. Its hard to find because the specifics are lost but mostly it's Balkh according to the source.
